Honestly I forgot all the time that they share this body. I kept waiting for a shot of Ed and Jamie together. Mostly because they were talking about how inseparable they are inside. I wish I could see into their inner world because their relationship is adorable.

Me too, truly. I don't even know how long I've been watching their channel now. I think at least 3-4 years, and I've grown to love and feel like I know each of them, all for their own different and unique personalities. I'd be lying if I said I didn't wish I could be all of their friends, and meet them all personally. They're all such wonderful people, and it's hard not to forget that they share the same body honestly. Their channel has brought so much wonderful insight on those who live with D.I.D., and helps to reduce the stigma. I can't put into words just how much I love getting to know them, and literally just want more and more videos. hehe. (All within a reasonable manor though. Some fans tend to forget people who make YT videos, are just that. People. They need to take breaks, and they need to focus on their health. Esp. since they have a baby and a whole family. heh :)..) Anyways, my bad! I'm not quite sure how I managed to accidentally type such a long message but I guess moral of my super long paragraph is that I totally agree with your comment. Hehe. This makes me think of the song “do you love me?” from fiddler on the roof. Because they had an arranged marriage so she’s saying we’ve been married 25 years but he’s still asking her if she loves him. There are lots of couples who “stay together for the kids” or out of obligation. I feel like that insecurity it pretty normal.

This is super cute and I like that we are seeing a different side of Ed, he turns into this bubbly ball of cute and flustered when speaking about Jamie. Perfect couple and very funny with how different they are and react to liking each other, in a good way of course.

I love how candid you are about how you know this backstory isn't 'real' in the traditional sense but it still feels so vivid that it might as well be. It sounds like when you have a dream and all the pieces fit together around the main 'scene' to facilitate the plot - when you wake up you suddenly notice that all the details don't make sense but you still have those strong feelings that the dream created. My inner world was never this intricate. I think I would have climbed inside my head and never left.
I'm integrated but if I could have that, I would in a heartbeat. Don't let anyone tell you that the only goal is integration. You're not a broken toy to be fixed. You are an amazing creation of your own circumstances. If I could go backwards (even though it means I wouldn't exist) I would. I wasn't broken but was forced by circumstance and a situation they couldn't escape to integrate. I feel like parts are missing. Can't tell the shrinks that. To them, I was sick and now I'm all better (except the PTSD, panic, depression etc)... but I'm not better. I wasn't broken to begin with.
Integration may be the perfect goal for some, but is not a cure all.
I feel more broken now that I'm "normal"(hah!) Than they ever did before me.
I'm so sorry you feel like that. And that you've had to encounter "professionals" that treat/ed you in such a way. No psychiatrist or therapist should see a patient with the goal of "fixing" them. Like you said, people are not toys that can simply be glued back together. The goal should always be to help the patient. And that can mean many different things. With DID it doesn't always mean integration. Each system is different and has different goals and needs. I'm sorry that you were treated by someone who apparently wasn't looking out for your system's overall well-being. It sounds like they were just following what they thought might be best for your diagnosis rather than your needs. I hope that you can find those missing parts of yourself. But to be honest, the majority of people (mental health issues or not) feel that as well. Part of what keeps us going is searching for something/someone to make us feel whole. I truly hope that you find yours and that you find peace and happiness within yourself. It sounds like Jamie and Ed were able to find that, and they still struggled. But happily ever after isn't like in stories or films. It's something that, even once we find it, we continuously have to work at and for. Thank you for sharing about your integration, and once again I'm sorry for how it's made you feel. You are not broken, and things can always get better. 💗
I'm sorry you're struggling. I really think no matter the issue that things should BE a guideline like maybe for some integration is like Jamie and ed and Ollie being a family. Maybe we don't need them to become 1 part when 3 parts can love each other. I hope that you're able to find healing for the issues due to integration and such

Jake... difficult... cuz of how creative he is, I'd say Hufflepuff. Jess would be Ravenclaw I think, although she is as brave as a Gryffindor.

It is so interesting that all of this story and background and all the different details and perspectives can fit inside one single mind. One single brain has been able to just make up this incredibly intricate and detailed world unconsciously where all the different parts of them have their role and separate memories and experiences. It’s so fascinating how our brains work and how much they can do and come up with in order to protect themselves, especially the brain of a child.
If any of what I said seems offensive or just wrong then I’m really sorry, not trying to be mean or disrespectful I just don’t have a lot of knowledge about any of this.

What a wonderful story... It's so beautiful it almost made me cry. Also here's a little message for Ed: First of all, you really are an art piece like Jamie said. But that's not why I'm writing this. The thing is, I've noticed that you always start these videos with doubt. So I wanted to share a little story with you. I volunteer in a project that is supposed to help deaf kids, but all we ever did was play with them and do origami etc. Although it was fun, after some point I started to doubt myself. Like having fun is cool and all, but these kids need genuine help with their education. Their teachers don't know proper sign language and they don't understand written language very well because their language is quite different than our language. So I asked our coordinator if we were really helping them. He said "When you go to a warzone to save kids, you don't immediately start immense therapy with them. For a while, you just play". I thought he said that like "it's the best we can do", so I wasn't very content with his answer. But after a couple of months, the teachers of those deaf kids started telling us things like "you should keep coming to our school. They started fighting less and they do things together now! They are behaving a lot better. They keep talking about you guys the whole week when you're not here!" I was surprised. I didn't expect simply trying to do things together with them would help them so much.
I'm sorry that this took way too long. But the point here is, this semester I learned that when something is too strong or too deeply embedded in a person or even an entire culture, the best you can do are the smallest things. Because teaching only works when it's backed up with real life experience. And I believe your wonderful stories are the closest some people can get to a real life experience of having friends with DID. It would be nice if they supported this experience with education too, but I believe the real foundation that can change their prior beliefs are your stories. So thank you, Ed, for sharing these with people even when you doubt if it will work. Also thanks to all others! I love you all very much!

I saw the documentary about you and I've have become slightly obsessed. I have been very intrigued by DID for many years since I was a young girl after I read a story about someone with this type of disorder. I find it incredible how strong and complex the human mind actually is. I love how each of your alters have developed over time and I love that you are making these types of videos to inform people about the life of someone with this type of disorder and how it isn't a bad disorder, it actually can be incredibly helpful when a young child has gone through something that they mentally can not handle. so much love for you all! I just wish I could talk to you in person! ❤❤

I really relate to Jamie's struggles, I still feel bad to this day because I treated my ex lovefriend like a dirty little secret. If I may, how did the other kids come into play? I remember Ed saying there are two other children in the inner world. Obviously adoption, LOL. Does Jess ever see the other babes when she is in the inner world?
Just based on my understanding from the other videos I've watched (which you may already know by now) their inner world is set a bit in the future, like Ed mentioned. Ollie has explained that technology is more developed and same sex couples are able to have children with both parents' dna. Which I truly hope will be an option in this outer world, so his brother and sister are half siblings to him.
And as for Jess, she can't go inside the inner world. They're not entirely certain why. When she isn't fronting I believe she goes to the like "viewing area".

I was looking at your Instagram stories about how we see your relationship and just had to come back to watching this. You are so romantic. This story always makes me smile.
I always felt a little strange about telling people that I'm in a relationship with another one of our head mates. It probably seems silly for other people, but it doesn't matter, because I love him more than anything. His name is Jamie too ironically. I asked him to marry me October 20th last year. We've been engaged for almost 5 months now. I can't see myself being with anyone except him. He makes me really happy and he's always there for me. He's like my guardian angel and definitely my soulmate.

I’m watching this in tears at 2 in the morning. Through all of the videos i’ve seen there is so much proof that Ed and Jamie are a perfect pair. With Jamie helping Ed out with his role and insecurities and Ed helping Jamie see the world and himself in a different light. It is so inspirational that you two were legitimately meant for eachother. It gets me so happy to know that even though Ed struggled so much in his past Jamie is always there to balance and comfort him. You two are.. amazing.. And your system wouldn’t be the same without your love. Sending love to your system ❤️❤️❤️ Time to go back and cry because you two are so sweet. I know this is an old video, but I can't help but share. We had an opposites attract moment in our system too. James is very serious, dedicated to being a gatekeeper, pretty emotionally distant most of the time. Quite masculine and very apathetic about the idea of a relationship. (Before I knew about the system I often cross dressed and believed I was trans and aromantic...this was James!) Foster is quite literally the opposite, super outgoing and social, genderfluid, expressive, often quite vulgar in a funny way. They were opposites!! They fought ALL THE TIME. But now they are tentatively together-wouldn't say dating, but definitely an emotional partnership where they are affectionate and sweet to each other. They are also both dating our fiance along with me, so they are poly...kinda? It gets quite complicated with DID. These two are some of the most polar opposites ever, and I love them and they care for each other. Quite a sweet story. :) -Jules
Does the fact that the inner world is starting to get fuzzy/fading scare you? Or does it come and go depending on how life is going in the outside world?
I don’t mean it in a negative way, but I couldn’t help but feel a tinge of sadness when I heard that! On the other hand I’ve never seen Ed so happy than talking about Jamie 💗

This is maybe a personal question, and if it is, don’t feel obligated to answer :) but I was wondering how things will work with your daughter as she gets older. Will she call only Jess mum and all the alters by their names? Or will she call everyone mum? Or possibly dad? Just something I feel like could be handled in a few different ways, so I wonder if you have given it some thought yet. Love your channel!

Great question, this will be very interesting, I'd love to know more about the child with did parent growing up.
In a system I know everyone is daddy, (kids are 7-15) all involved consider it a title regardless of alter gender.
I only just now watched this video and I am literally so emotional right now. Ed and Jamie have one of the most pure loves I've ever seen. You can tell from how they talk about each other that this is real and true love ❤

I have never heard an alter talked about their history and memories so thoroughly and with so much detail before, we are new to this and I haven't gotten to know the others in our system as well as that yet (hell, only 2 out of 5 of them will even talk to me) but i hope that some day i can know them all this well and get to hear all their stories , Love you guys :)

So this might sound weird, but when I started watching these videos, I had this...feeling? Intuition? About Jamie and Ed. Like I felt like there was something there? And then the first time it was mentioned that they were together (in a video I had seen anyway) I was like “I thought something was going on!” I think I might have mentioned this in a comment before but this adorable video reminded me! It’s so wonderful to see their progression and see them be so much happier.
